Mi-Light E2-ZR Zigbee 3.0 2-in-1 LED Controller – Zigbee & 2.4GHz Smart Controller for Single Colour and CCT LED Strips

The Mi-Light E2-ZR Zigbee 3.0 2-in-1 LED Controller combines Zigbee smart home control with the convenience of compatible Mi-Light / MiBoxer 2.4GHz wireless remotes. Designed for single colour and adjustable white CCT LED strips, it allows you to dim your lighting and, with a CCT strip connected, adjust the white colour temperature.

Use it for kitchen lighting, shelving, bedrooms, media walls and other low-voltage lighting installations where you want convenient everyday control.

Compatible with Two LED Strip Types

Configure the E2-ZR to suit your chosen LED strip:

  • Single colour LED strips – Switch and dim a fixed-colour strip, such as warm white or cool white.
  • CCT adjustable white LED strips – Adjust brightness and blend between warm and cool white to suit the room or activity.

The available white colour temperature range depends on the connected CCT strip. A fixed warm white or cool white strip can be dimmed, but its colour temperature cannot be changed.

Zigbee 3.0 Smart Home Integration

Connect the E2-ZR to a compatible Zigbee gateway or hub to bring your LED lighting into your smart home.

Depending on your hub and its supported features, you can:

  • Control your lighting through a smartphone app.
  • Set timers and lighting schedules.
  • Include your LED strips in scenes and automations.
  • Use voice commands through a supported voice assistant.

For Home Assistant, the E2-ZR is listed as supported by Zigbee2MQTT, with on/off, brightness and colour temperature controls.

Check support for the E2-ZR with your chosen hub before purchasing, as pairing and available functions can vary between platforms.

Also Compatible with Mi-Light 2.4GHz Remotes

The E2-ZR also works directly with compatible Mi-Light / MiBoxer 2.4GHz handheld remotes and wall-mounted control panels.

This gives you a convenient physical control for everyday use, alongside your Zigbee smart home system. Keep a remote beside the sofa or use a wall panel to adjust your lighting as you enter the room.

A Zigbee hub is not required when using a compatible 2.4GHz remote alone. Choose a remote suitable for single colour or CCT lighting and confirm compatibility with the E2-ZR.

Important Compatibility Information

The E2-ZR requires a suitable 12V or 24V DC power supply, matched to the voltage and power requirements of your LED strip. The combined connected load must remain within the controller’s 12A total output limit.

For smartphone, automation and voice control, a compatible Zigbee hub or gateway is required. The controller does not connect directly to your Wi-Fi router.

For remote-only operation, pair it directly with a compatible Mi-Light / MiBoxer 2.4GHz remote or wall panel.

This controller supports single colour and CCT LED strips. For RGB, RGBW or RGB+CCT colour-changing strips, choose the E3-ZR instead.

Zigbee compatibility and available features depend on the hub, software and connected LED strip.
