The strip is 10mm wide, allowing fitment into a wider range of aluminium profiles and offers cut points every 26mm, offering precise flexibility for installations where accuracy is key. • Bounding Wall on COB Strip – The bounding wall helps contain and shape the phosphor coating over the COB chips.  It adds structural support, protecting the delicate COB chips and phosphor layer from scratches, peeling, or mechanical damage during installation. By holding the phosphor in place more evenly, the bounding wall helps maintain better thermal stability, which prolongs the lifespan of the LEDs. By keeping the phosphor coating uniform and protected, the bounding wall ensures the LEDs age more evenly, preventing colour shift or patchy degradation over time.

Why a CCT Controller Is Required

An Adjustable White (CCT) LED strip has two different types of LEDs built in:

• Warm white LEDs (around 2700K) for a cosy, ambient glow.
• Cool white LEDs (up to 6500K) for bright, daylight-style illumination.

To achieve any shade of white in between, the strip needs to blend the two channels (warm + cool) at different intensities. This cannot be done by simply powering the strip directly, because you would only ever get one channel (all warm or all cool).

A CCT controller is therefore essential because it:

1. Controls both channels independently – it sends the right amount of current to the warm and cool LEDs.
2. Blends the light – by dimming one channel while increasing the other, it creates natural-looking whites across the full 2700K–6500K range.
3. Provides user-friendly control – via a remote, wall panel, or app, so you can easily set brightness and colour temperature to match the mood or task.

How a CCT Controller Works

• Connection: The LED strip connects to the controller using a 3-core cable (positive, warm white, cool white).
• Signal Processing: The controller regulates voltage to each LED channel according to your settings.
• Power Source: The controller sits between the 12V DC power supply and the LED strip, ensuring both safe operation and flexible control.

For example:

• Set the controller to 100% warm white, 0% cool white → cosy warm glow.
• Set to 50% warm white, 50% cool white → neutral white.
• Set to 0% warm white, 100% cool white → crisp daylight white.
